Shooters LogoSpring Is Here... For Real!
The weather is getting warmer, and we have been busy wrapping up a few projects and starting a couple more... no rest for the weary. Below are a few of the projects that we have recently completed.

Shooters Produces segments for NIJ Body Armor Project in Wheeling
May 2011 - On April 29, Shooters Productions, in conjunction with Tri-State Petroleum and the Wheeling Police and Fire Departments, produced a few segments for their upcoming production dealing with police body armor at the Exxon station on Washington Ave. in Wheeling WV.

The segments, which were dramatizations of actual stories told by officers who have been shot in the line of duty while wearing their body armor, were filmed with the help of officers from the Wheeling PD. The Wheeling Fire Department and Chief Larry Helms assisted by supplying a fire truck with a lift in order to get a few aerial shots of the station. Officer Brandi Alderman, Officer Robert McConnell, and Sgt. Shaun Flanegin each participated in a segment, while Paul Jeffries played the "perpetrator" who assaults the officers. Kimberly Monahan, Ashleigh Pratt, Joe Jacobs, and Marie Dynes also played roles in the production.

At one point, actual weapons loaded with blank ammunition were used to lend realism to the scenes. The segments produced at the Exxon Station will be integrated into a larger production that Shooters is producing for the National Institute of Justice in Washington, D.C. A few of the segments will be available for viewing on the website in a couple of weeks.

Shooters would like to thank the Wheeling PD Chief Robert Matheny, Fire Department Chief Larry Helms, City Manager Bob Herron, Tri-State Petroleum execs Coleen McGlinn and Sam Covelli, Magistrate Joe Roxby, and Sgt. Shaun Flanegin for helping to co-ordinate the effort.

Nardone Chiropractic and Wellness
May 2011 - We recently completed an ad campaign for Nardone Chiropractic and Wellness in Benwood. The three ad campaign was shot in our studio on a chroma key environment, which allowed us to use our visual effects talents to enhance the piece. The ads feature testimonials of actual clients of Dr. Emil Nardone, and each spot highlights a different aspect of his services. The ads are available for viewing on our website, along with a "behind the scenes" piece which illustrates the various visual effects work that went into achieving the final look.

Barnesville Hospital Production Completed
April 2011 - We recently completed a nine minute production for Barnesville Hospital which will be used for Physician Recruitment. Principle photography was completed over a three day period at Barnesville Hospital and the surrounding community, and includes not only footage of the hospital, but interviews with physicians who currently practice at the hospital. The video has been well received by hospital staff and administrators who believe that the video captures the essence and work environment of the hospital and the Barnesville community. The finished production can be viewed here. Shooters will now begin production of a series of commercials for the hospital which will focus on services and technology.

Spring Is Here!
Spring is upon us, and we've been busy finishing up a few projects, taking on some new ones, and generally upgrading our capabilities and our facility. We're looking forward to some exciting new upgrades, and hopefully, a few challenging projects. We're here to help, so don't hesitate to contact us if you are in the market for some impact production.

HD Ready
March 2011 - We've been HD capable for a few years now, and this has allowed us to keep pace with the ever changing production standards. The whole industry has been making the shift to HD, and we have kept pace. Having adopted Panasonic's P2 HD format has allowed us to provide full HD production to our clients in a tapeless format, ensuring that their productions look great now, and are future proof. Have you been to an electronics store lately? It's an HD world, so why keep putting your productions or commercials out in an SD format? Even if final delivery is ultimately standard definition, shooting in full HD allows a flexibility in editing that cannot be achieved with traditional standard def cameras, plus it looks fantastic! If you have been considering taking your productions to the next level, HD is the way to go. We're ready when you are!

More HD Edit Bays Added!
March 2011 - We now have 3 full HD/SD capable edit bays in our studio combined with the latest in post-production and visual effects software. This means that we can handle a greater workload and put out projects in less time. Plus, we have begun to build a renderfarm to help us churn out those high-end visual effects and 3D animations that we are becoming known for. Our HD bays can also be rented, so whether you need our help in post-production, or you simply need to transfer footage to a different format or edit on your own, we've got you covered. Our stations run the latest Adobe Premiere CS5 software. Call for rental rates.

Studio Available For Rent
March 2011 - Our facility features a 40' x 30' sound dampened studio with smooth concrete floors and a 25' ceiling, which makes it ideal for productions that require a flexible shoot space in a controlled environment. The studio can accommodate custom sets, vehicles, specialty production equipment, such as camera cranes and dolly/track systems, and also features a chroma key area for green screening. The studio can be rented on a half day/full day basis with or without use of lighting/production equipment. Call for rates. An exciting upgrade is coming to our studio which should prove very useful and popular. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming weeks.

Our New Arrival
March 2011 - The Round D Round dolly system is the newest addition to our facility. Designed to fit through standard doorways with ease, this dolly features neumatic tires and dual axis steering for tight turn capability. On level surfaces, it works without the need for track of any kind. For those less than level surfaces, it easily mounts to our steel track system without the need for tools. This feature is not only flexible, but it cuts down set-up time in a big way. With a two passenger capacity (camera op and grip at the same time) and multiple steering configurations, this little wonder offers the flexibility to navigate tight spaces while cutting down time on a shoot. And the best part? It's also available for rent at a surprisingly low cost. If you're an independent production company, and you've ever wanted to add high production value to your shoots without breaking the bank, we just might be able to help you out! Call for rental rate.
